IBEW 317 – Huntington

The Huntington Electrical JATC is an affiliate of the electrical training ALLIANCE (formerly the NJATC).  The electrical training ALLIANCE developed uniform standards that are adopted and used nationwide to select and train thousands of qualified men  and women each year.
Over the years we have continually trained the best craftpersons in the industry without the cost to the taxpayers.  Students in the electrical training ALLIANCE earn while they learn while doing apprenticeship.  Apprentices receive excellent wages, paid health benefits, pension, guaranteed wage advancement, and an employment atmosphere with safe working conditions.
Applications are taken online or in person Monday through Friday 8 AM to 3PM at 1816 Madison Ave, Huntington, WV.  Applications will be accepted year round with classes starting in September.  Here is the most recent IBEW 317 Notice
Minimum Requirements:

Minimum age 18
High School Education
One year of High School algebra
Qualifying score on an aptitude test
Drug Free

Applicants who meet all basic requirements will be interviewed by the JATC.  Apprentices will be selected in order of their final ranking.
Counties in this local’s jurisdiction:
WV – Cabell, Lincoln, Mason and Wayne
OH – Galia and Lawrence
KY – Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Floyd, Johnson, Lawrence, Magoffin, Martin, Morgan, Pike and Rowan.
